About this Mod

Faction Coordinates

A simple QOL mod to ease location sharing between faction members in servers with random coordinate offset for each player
This mod heavily relies on client-side console commands, and is not visible to the server management.

Green numbers in square brackets can be copied in clipboard on click.

Usage

  • /init - creates all of necessary directories and loads them, if they already exist
  • /originset - saves origin location to the file. Origin is the 0-0-0 location for the faction. Make your faction members use this command on the same block to use this mod properly!
  • /originget - prints out origin coordinates
  • /raw - prints out local coordinates
  • /coords - prints out faction coordinates
  • /convert - converts faction coordinates to local (to use with minimap etc.)
  • /hud - toggles on-screen gui (shows faction coordinates)

Frequently Asked Questions

Faction Coordinates server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Faction Coordinates compatible with fabric?

Faction Coordinates officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Faction Coordinates – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Faction Coordinates consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
