About this Mod

A factory block can be used to produce stacks of any item it is given. To use it, right click on the block with any item, and it will disappear into the block. Until someone puts a new item in the factory block, anyone with an empty hand can pull as many stacks of the item out of the block as they want.

This mod was originally a joke on my part. I see devs rush to fix duping bugs the moment they appear in a mod or in the vanilla game. How funny would it be if I added a mod whose sole purpose is to enable duping as an intended feature?

As it turns out, the idea has a lot more merit than I originally intended. Adding duping to the game as a fully respectable, intended feature apparently incentivizes exploration in a way the vanilla game never did for me. Suddenly it is worth your time to acquire any single item, no matter how rare or hard it is to farm, because you can immediately have as many as you want. Build freely, without worrying about collecting tons of supplies. It's a whole new world out there.

This mod only works if it is installed on both server and client. It does not enable any clientside duping glitches on servers that do not support it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Factory Block server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.19.4). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Factory Block compatible with fabric?

Factory Block officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.19.4. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Factory Block – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Factory Block consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
