Fancy Battleaxes
Adds the Battleaxe, a hybrid weapon between axes and swords. Battleaxes have slow attack speeds and high damage, both scale with better materials.
About this Mod
Description
FancyBattleaxes adds a new kind of weapon, the Battleaxe.
As a weapon, Battleaxes attack even slower than most axes, but deal more damage.
They can also be used to mine the same blocks as axes.
Battleaxes can be made of many materials, including some materials from other mods. All materials can be disabled in the configuration. By default, only vanilla materials are enabled.
The configuration also allows you to change all properties of a material to balance it for a specific modpack.
Crafting
Battleaxes are crafted using 3 sticks in the middle with 4 ingots/gems in the upper free spaces, like shown in the image below.

Configuration
The configuration is split in 2 sections.
Enabled Tools
In this section, there is a boolean option for each supported material.
If set to false, the Battleaxe with this material will be disabled.
Disabled Battleaxes cannot be crafted and do not show up in the Creative Tab or in JEI.
Existing Battleaxes with a disabled material will still work and not be deleted.
ToolStats
This section has a subsection for each material, where its properties can be adjusted.
The properties, that can be adjusted are:
- durability: how many uses the tool can endure
- harvest_level: which blocks can be mined. In vanilla 1 = stone tool, 2 = iron tool, 3 = diamond tool
- efficiency: how fast a block is mined. In vanilla: wood = 2, stone = 4, iron = 6, diamond = 8
- attack_damage: How much damage it does on one hit
- attack_speed: Lower (more negative) value means slower attack speed
- enchantability: Higher values make better enchantments more likely
