About this Mod
Fandai Engine
Make your game run smoother and look better. One mod for performance and visuals.
What does this mod do?
Short answer: It makes your game faster and prettier.
If you have a slow PC, this mod helps you get more frames per second. If you have a fast PC, it adds nice visual effects without slowing you down.
How does it help performance?
- Loads chunks before you need them - no more waiting for the world to appear when you fly or run fast
- Draws distant terrain smartly - far away stuff is simpler so your GPU doesn't work as hard
- Automatically adjusts quality - if your FPS drops, the mod turns down some effects to keep things smooth
- Uses less memory - chunk tracking uses much less RAM than before
What does it add visually?
Better Rain
- More rain when it storms
- Fog on the ground during heavy rain
- Wind particles blowing during storms
- Ripples when rain hits water
Better Water
- Waves that move on water surfaces
- Sun and moon reflections on water
- Light patterns underwater
- White foam where water meets the shore
- You can control how see-through the water is
Elytra Flying
- Press A and D to roll like in a flight game
- Press W for speed boost, S to slow down
- A small HUD that shows your direction and angle while flying
FPS Counter
- Shows your current FPS on screen
- Can also show your lowest FPS and how stable your performance is
Will it work with my other mods?
Yes. It works with Create, Flywheel, Aeronautics, and most other client-side mods. It only runs on the client, so it won't affect servers.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- NeoForge
- Java 21

Fandai Engine server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Fandai Engine compatible with neoforge?
Fandai Engine officially supports neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Fandai Engine – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Fandai Engine consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
