About this Mod
This mod requires Patchouli 1.21.1-92 / 1.20.1-84.1 or higher
Fauna & Orchestra is a Neoforge mod that explores the magic of music: you'll be able to tame some of the 9 new animals and give them instruments so they form a little orchestra with its frog conductor!
The newer update adds story progression as well: you'll be met by a mysterious character that warns you about the dangers of melomancy and asks for your help. By exploring the world you'll meet new characters, improve your melomantic skills (a new form of musical magic), create musical artifacts (like a choreomania bomb) and discover the secrets of this musical world.
The more you delve in melomancy the more branches you'll find, deciding if you want to go for a more dangerous and dark one, a biomantic one or both. The more you progress, the nearer the great finale will be: since you'll have to battle the Great Composer!
What's been added in the v3.0.0?
The Jazz Band: Find a new structure: The Inn! Many travelers talk about a mysterious jazz band called the Jazzy Dammys who play inside!
Myths System: Their lovely pianist, Dan B., is a well-known myth-collector which will tell you myths around the world with great and mysterious prizes if you complete them!
Animal Costumes: You can now sew costumes and headwear for your orchestra: spice up your musicians with tuxedos, caps, monocles, baseball jackets, and much more!
New Animal: Meet the playful Sea Lions, whose talent with the drums will help you play new music!
New crafting method: In order to bond with all the different animals in the world, you'll have to make Natural Recipes. Get yourself Jars and hang them on Jar Racks over some fuel and watch the different ingredients fuse in a spectacular manner!
Koala Workers: Tired of farming? melomancing? sewing? You can now hire Koala Workers through an... interesting method which will help you with your tasks!
New Sheet Music: There are 10 different songs now!
JEI Compatibility: If you want a faster method of watching all the recipes, both Melomancy and Natural Recipes have JEI-compatibility now!
And much more!

Is it going to be ported to 1.X.X or to Fabric?
The 1.20.1 backport was the exception, since it's still quite a popular modding version. For the time being, I'll keep updating both the 1.21.1 and 1.20.1 Forge/Neoforge versions respectively, since I have no interest currently in Fabric nor newer/older versions. This might change in the future, depending on if there is a new popular modding version. I'd rather spend time implementing new features than spending countless hours learning other versions!
What's coming next?
First of all, I'll backport the new version for the 1.20.1. It will take me a week or two, but it shouldn't be so difficult. After that, I will release a few drops with new myths, new koala workers, new animal variants, etc to spice up these next few months. After that, who knows?
Why so many small updates?
I test the mod thoroughly before releasing it. However, because I know every detail of the code, it's hard for me to catch the small bugs. My only testers are my friends, who report the errors during their playthrough. This is why there have been so many updates. Hopefully, once they finish it, everything will be fixed!
Why is the Mantis so big?
Why not?
