Fabric Energy API
A API that provides a simple and standardized way to handle energy in Fabric.
About this Mod
Fabric Energy API
Why?
Very annoying that every modpack for Fabric uses its own library and reimplementation of a energy system, meanwhile forge has a standardized API that makes most (if not all) mods cross compatible, while Fabric is stuck with energy mods that need specific compatibility mods, and its just a general mess.
This project wants to solve that. By creating a simple, fast, and modern energy API to hopefully one day become the gold standard for fabric, making energy a standard and cross compatible spec.
How it works.
We have a unit called Fabric energy (Or just FE for short), which is calculated every single tick, similar to how Forge energy works. (FE/t)
For the API spec visit the github repo.
Notes
Users, this mod adds no actual content, its a API for developers.
For mod developers, this api is on both Modrinth and Curseforge, so no need to worry about platform exclusivity.

Fabric Energy API server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Fabric Energy API compatible with fabric?
Fabric Energy API officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Fabric Energy API – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Fabric Energy API consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
