About this Mod
This mod makes living entities render 2 dimensional. Inspired by the "MineCraft 3D Shareware v1.34", Mojang's 2019 April Fools' joke
This mod is a continuation of Flat Entities which is under the GNU GPL 3.0 license and was discontinued mid 2019.
This version comes with a client config in which you can
- Blacklist entities (Blacklist entities from rendering 2d)
- Blacklist dimensions (Blacklist entities from rendering 2d in configured dimensions or invert the blacklist to make that blacklist into a whitelist)
- Whitelist entities to render 2d in blacklisted dimensions

Flatter Entities server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Flatter Entities compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?
Flatter Entities officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 26.1.2, 1.21.11, 1.21.8. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Flatter Entities – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Flatter Entities consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
