About this Mod

Forbidden Tinkers

Addon for Tinker's Construct and Mythic Tinkers. Adds powerful materials and modifiers designed to scale tinkers tools with other modpacks.

NOTE It is highly recommended that you use this mod with a custom datapack for your modpack. While you can use it on it's own, some features are exclusive to datapacks. It also breaks vanilla Tinkers balance, which is only recommended for large modpacks with tools/weapons that scale beyond vanilla tinkers.

Champium

A pile of Champium

Champium is a powerful, endgame material. It's stats are not better than the stats of other materials, but it's trait is very powerful. Modifiers that have a cap like Sharpness and Haste only use an upgrade/ability slot when being applied, not for upgrading. So it only costs one slot to upgrade to Sharpness V.

A Champium Forge found in the underground

Champium can be crafted in Champium Forges, which are found deep underground in the overworld. Champium forges take in large stacks of farmable materials like wheat and potatoes and output Champium Nuggets. You should use other mods to get the resources in bulk.

Tinker's Diamond

A pile of Tinker's Diamonds on the ground

Tinker's Diamond is a rare material found underground in the overworld. When mined, it will only drop one Tinker's Diamond.

You can apply a Tinker's Diamond to your tool alongside a tool part of any valid material to add traits from that material onto your tool (Like Embossing from 1.12). You can only emboss your tool once.

Shows applying an Augmentation modifier with a tool part and a tinkers diamond.

Forbidden Tome

Some Forbidden Tomes thrown on the ground

Cannot be obtained normally. Should be set up in a datapack. Each Forbidden Tome has a modifier associated with it. Forbidden Tomes can be applied to your tool to get the "Overloaded" modifier. This modifier doubles the level of the assocoiated modifier, so applying a Sharpness tome on your sword with Sharpness V turns it into Sharpness X.

Requires no slot but can only be applied once per tool.

Disposing

Shows crafting the Disposing modifier with two hoppers and a cactus

Upgrade added to your tool with two hoppers and a cactus. Disposes of "trash" items when mined. Trash items are items like cobblestone, dirt, and rotten flesh. Defined via a datapack.

Wormhole

Shows crafting the Wormhole modifier with two hoppers, two enderslime balls, and an eye of ender

Ability added with two hoppers, two enderslime balls, and an eye of ender. Teleports harvested materials directly to your inventory.

Funny

Shows crafting the Funny Modifier with a clown nose

Added with a clown nose item (must be added via datapacks).
Plays a honking sound when attacking or mining blocks.

Heart Dropping

Recipe must be added via datapacks. I recommend capping this at level 3 and making it an upgrade. Adds a 10% chance per level for slain mobs to drop a Zelda-style heart that heals you.

Feasting

Recipe must be added via datapacks. I recommend making this an ability. Picked up XP will heal your hunger when this tool is held.
