Forever Wet
Permanently locks farmland moisture at maximum level (7). Soil will never dry out or revert to dirt, even without nearby water.
About this Mod
Forever Wet
Forever Wet is a lightweight, server-side friendly NeoForge mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 that completely removes the frustration of keeping your crops watered. No more tedious water channels breaking up your perfect fields—just hoe the dirt, plant your seeds and walk away.
Features
Automatic Hydration: When you make farmland, it will automatically turn into the hydrated farmland after some time
Permanent Hydration: Once dirt is tilled into farmland, its moisture level is locked at maximum (moisture=7).
Zero Dehydration: Farmland will never dry out, lose its dark texture, or revert back into regular dirt blocks, even in arid biomes or deep underground.
100% Vanilla Compatible: Players do not need the mod installed on their client to join a server running it. It works entirely on the server side (but functions perfectly in single-player, too!).
Ultra Lightweight: Uses a highly optimized Mixin to intercept block ticks, meaning absolutely zero impact on game performance or MSPT.
How It Works
The mod injects a small piece of logic directly into Minecraft's FarmlandBlock behavior. It forces the game to always return true when checking if the block is near a water source, preventing the random tick decay from ever triggering.

Forever Wet server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Forever Wet compatible with fabric and neoforge?
Forever Wet officially supports fabric, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Forever Wet – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Forever Wet consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
