About this Mod

this is the Forge Retail mod! With this mod you can sell items and make tools to get materials faster. The mod adds new ores, new tools and a completly new forging system. To make the new tools you need to melt materials, make casts, cast parts then you can craft the new tools.

Crafting

To make tools, read these:

  1. workstations
  2. melting
  3. cast making
  4. casting
  5. last steps

Workstations:

  1. Melting Station
  2. Cast maker
  3. Casting station

Melting:

To melt materials you need meltable materials, a bucket and some coal.
Meltable materials:

  • Gold
  • Iron
  • Copper
  • Sapphire

Steps:

  1. Put any meltable materials, coal and bucket into the melting machine
  2. Press the button

Cast making:

To make casts you need a Cast maker, Molten gold and a stone tool part.
Steps:

  1. Craft a Cast maker
  2. Craft a stone tool part (any type)
  3. Put the stone tool part into the Cast Maker
  4. Press the button

Casting:

To make the final tool parts you need the Casting station and the tool materials.

Tool materials:

  • Molten iron (for handle only)
  • Molten copper (for handle only)
  • Molten sapphire (for head only)

Steps:

  1. Put the one of the casts and a tool material into the casting station
  2. Press the button

Last steps:

To make the final tool parts you need a tool head and a copper handle (iron handle tools is in the next update).

Steps:

  1. Craft together a sapphire tool head and a copper handle
  2. Done

Items:

  1. Molds (ingot, pickaxe head, axe head, shovel head)
  2. Sapphire juice: a drink item that gives you effects
  3. Beanie: cosmetic item

Selling:

To open the selling gui press F.

Steps:

  1. Put the product in the first slot
  2. Set a price
  3. Press the button

Installation:

This mod is in 1.20.1 forge client and server.

How to Install Forge Retail on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set forge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Forge Retail". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Frequently Asked Questions

Forge Retail server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Forge Retail compatible with forge and neoforge?

Forge Retail officially supports forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Forge Retail – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Forge Retail consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
