What the hell is this?!
Note: This is a library/technical mod, not a "content"-mod. This is meerly a tool for modders and server owners to extend their server's functionality.
Forkkit is a "Forge mod" (technically a ModLauncher 8 service) that hooks into Bukkit's classloading mechanisms to allow:
- other Forge mods to access Bukkit plugins' classes.
- ModLauncher transformation services to transform Bukkit plugins' classes.
- For now, this doesn't make Mixin work. It's definitely possible with some smart code, but I'll leave that to someone else.
How do I use this?????
Simply drop the Forkkit jar into your server's mods folder, and you're good to go!
Now you can depend on plugin classes when developing your mods :)
Compatibility
Forkkit has been developped for ModLauncher 8.1.x while targetting Mohist 1.16.5, and is not guaranteed to work on any other version, but you're welcome to try it!
ModLauncher 9.x (basically 1.17+) is not supported and probably won't ever be since it's vastly different from 8.x and would probably require major code changes.

How to Install Forkkit on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.16.5).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Forkkit". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Forkkit server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.16.5). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Forkkit compatible with forge?
Forkkit officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.16.5. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Forkkit – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Forkkit consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
