About this Mod

The sequel datapack to Funky Flora, "Blooming Biosphere" has been released! It is available for 1.20, and I highly recommend using it in favor of funky flora.
Funky Flora is a datapack for 1.19 and 1.20 designed to improve vanilla overworld biomes with new and improved trees and fungi. As of now, all common biomes have received an overhaul! More may come in the future.
This pack has been designed to be vanilla friendly, and make every biome more fun to explore and settle in.
This datapack is compatible with Tectonic. Probably. Otherwise, this should work with other worldgen datapacks/mods that do not modify vanilla biomes.

Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Funky Flora officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, quilt for Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.20, 1.19.3. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Funky Flora – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Funky Flora consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
