About this Mod
This mod adds random spawning mechanics for gates from the [Gateways to Eternity](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/gateways-to-eternity) mod. It is designed to add suspense and excitement by making powerful gateways appear unexpectedly during gameplay.
How It Works
Every Minecraft **day at sunrise** (`time == 1`), the mod evaluates whether to spawn a gateway using the following logic:
Spawn Logic
- Selects a random player in the Overworld.
- Chooses a surface block 50–300 blocks away from that player as the potential spawn location.
- Spawns the gate at a random time during the day, not necessarily right at sunrise.
Spawn Chance Progression
- If spawning fails, the chance increases each day:
- 20% → 40% → 60% → 80%
- After a successful spawn:
- The chance resets to 20%
- No gate will spawn the next day (to prevent over-spawning)
Visual Feedback & Integration
- Shows a notification when a gate is about to appear.
- If JourneyMap is installed:
- A waypoint is automatically created at the gate location.
- A beam of light highlights the gate using FTB Map.
- The gate’s chunk is force-loaded via FTB Chunks to ensure reliable generation.
