About this Mod
What is Glasses?
Glasses is a Fabric mod that adds wearable glasses to Minecraft. There are two styles to choose from, both craftable and equippable in the helmet slot.
The twist: glasses come with a prescription system. Server ops can assign glasses to specific players using the /glasses assign command — those players need their glasses to see properly. Take them off and you'll get hit with a "Poor Vision" effect that fills your screen with thick fog and a dark vignette.
On the flip side, if you're not assigned and you put on someone else's glasses, you'll get an even worse version of the effect — because it's the wrong prescription.
Features
- Two glasses styles that render as 3D models on your head (Blockbench models, not flat textures)
- Prescription system — ops can assign/remove glasses for players, and it persists across sessions
- Custom "Poor Vision" effect — not just vanilla blindness, it uses fog and a vignette overlay so you can still kind of see
- Y-offset adjustment — use
/glasses setyoffsetto move the glasses up or down on your head so they line up with your skin's eyes - Trinkets support — if you have Trinkets installed, glasses can go in a trinket slot instead of the helmet slot
Commands
All op-only except setyoffset:
/glasses assign <player>— prescribe glasses to a player/glasses remove <player>— remove a player's prescription/glasses info <player>— check a player's assignment status/glasses setyoffset <pixels>— adjust vertical position of your glasses (-4 to 4)
Requirements
