About this Mod
WELCOME TO GLIDE!
Glide adds in a brand new mode of transportation for your exploration needs: THE GLIDER!
Heavily inspired in both function and looks by Legend of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild/Tears Of The Kingdom, the glider allows you to soar through the skies as a early/mid-game more of air transport.
When equipped in the hand trinket slot, you open up your glider with [Space] midair.

Heat Sources
You can glide over heat sources (such as campfires, fire, lava etc.) to launch up and either start your glide or give your glide new height!

Enchantments
Glide adds two new enchantments for your glider: Gust and Cyclone!
Gust will push you forward and give you a boost of speed and Cyclone will launch you up into the air like a heat source but with even more lift.
Enchantment Warning v.1.0.0-v.1.0.1
These versions have the names swapped by accident (whoops!) so for those versions, Gust will launch you up and Cyclone will push you forward!

Notes
Requires Fabric API and Trinkets to work!

Glide server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.4). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Glide compatible with fabric and quilt?
Glide officially supports fabric, quilt for Minecraft 1.20.4. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Glide – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Glide consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
