About this Mod
Important: Please set the normal jump keybind to a different button (B for example). Due to the limitations of MCreator, I cannot change the keybind myself.
Disclaimer: I am not responsable for anyone getting banned on servers for using this mod. Most servers consider it a hack due to the altered movement speed.
One day I came up with the idea to make a sonic moveset for Minecraft. Today I finally decided to upload it to Curseforge.
Currently, I am working on adding a dropdash, and I need some help adding player animations. I also need some help with sound playing problems when the mod is both on the client and the server. I have plans to add other parts of the sonic moveset. The mod is being developed in MCreator.

How to Install Gotta Go Fast on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Gotta Go Fast". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Gotta Go Fast server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Gotta Go Fast compatible with forge?
Gotta Go Fast officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.1, 1.19.2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Gotta Go Fast – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Gotta Go Fast consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
