Gameplay
In Grandia Dungeons, the player enters a dungeon run and progresses floor by floor. Each floor brings new dangers, loot, traps and enemies. Bosses appear on special floors, while traders and special rooms can help the player survive deeper runs.
The mod is built around risk and reward. Cursed items can be powerful but dangerous, unidentified loot requires caution, and resources must be managed carefully. The deeper the dungeon goes, the harder the run becomes.
Classes and Progression
Players can choose a class and unlock new options as they progress. Each class is designed to support a different playstyle, including melee combat, magic, ranged combat, defense, utility and more.
Skills, equipment and dungeon resources are important parts of progression. The goal is not only to become stronger, but also to survive the dungeon’s rules.
Items and Loot
Grandia Dungeons adds a wide range of dungeon-focused items:
- Weapons and armor
- Rings and artifacts
- Wands, staffs and grimoires
- Scrolls and potions
- Seeds and runes
- Bags and utility items
- Cursed and unidentified equipment
- Dungeon currency and trader items
Loot is designed around dungeon progression, identification, curses and build variety.
Bosses and Floors
Boss encounters appear on special dungeon floors. Boss arenas are designed to feel different from regular rooms and provide a focused combat challenge.
The mod is planned around long-term dungeon progression, with stronger enemies, better loot and more dangerous mechanics as the player reaches deeper floors.
Atmosphere
Grandia Dungeons uses a dark fantasy dungeon style: ancient stone halls, cursed magic, purple crystals, torches, traps, ruins, dangerous monsters and a strong roguelike mood.
The goal is to make the dungeon feel dangerous, mysterious and alive.
