About this Mod
GUI Fixer
GUI Fixer is a lightweight client-side Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.21.11 that lets you freely reposition inventory and interface slots in any GUI and save your custom layouts to a config file. I will most likely not update that mod in the future but if you really need it then contact me on discord.
Features
- Move any slot in any vanilla GUI (with either dragging the slot or by using arrow keys you can position them precisely)
- Custom layouts are saved automatically and persist between sessions
- Most modded GUIs are likely supported (compatibility may vary; testing recommended)
- Fully clientside, safe to use on multiplayer servers
- Customizable keybinds through Minecraft controls settings
How to Use
- Open the GUI you want to modify.
- Press
Right Shiftto enter edit mode. - Slot outlines will appear, showing movable slots.
- Drag slots wherever you want.
- Press
Right Shiftagain or exit the gui to save the layout.
Reset Layouts
Press R to reset all GUI configurations back to default.
Important Notes
This mod does not change GUI textures, only the slot positions are moved.
To visually move textures as well, you must create or use a custom resource pack.
Compatibility
All vanilla GUIs are supported.
Modded GUIs are not guaranteed to work, but some might function correctly.

GUI Fixer server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is GUI Fixer compatible with fabric?
GUI Fixer officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21.11. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with GUI Fixer – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if GUI Fixer consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
