About this Mod
This is an official reforge of the mod "You die you lose a Heart" by the user Mars.
Note:
This mod is to be used with normal Minecraft worlds. It's not compatible with acctual Hardcore worlds.
When you die you lose a heart. With no hearts left you will switch to spectator mode. This is similar to hardcore difficulty in Minecraft but less severe. You can also restore hearts by eating enchanted golden apples.
Features:
- You lose 1 heart when you die
- You gain 1 heart when you eat an enchanted golden apple (can be enabled/disabled via gamerule)
- Configure the maximum hearts a player can have (default 20, set via gamerule)
- Set a players hearts via command
Gamerules:
- /gamerule maxHearts value (default 20 hearts)
- /gamerule canRestoreHearts true/false (default is true)
Commands:
- /playerhearts value (set the current hearts of a player)

How to Install Hardcore Lite - You Die You Lose a Heart (LifeDrain) on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Hardcore Lite - You Die You Lose a Heart (LifeDrain)". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
