Healthy Food

Healthy Food

Removes the food system and makes food heal directly. Also adds a 'fullness' system, which prevents eating many food items in a short time span.

About this Mod

Healthy Food

Eating food no longer fills the hunger bar or gives saturation. Each food item now heals the player directly.

Eating food will add fullness, when the maximum fullness is reached, no food can be consumed. Fullness is decreased over time.

Maximum fullness is controlled by the "healthyfood:generic.maximum_fullness" entity attribute, with a default of 3.

Food adds 1 fullness by default, exceptions can be added via the server config.

Eating food will heal its previous saturation / 2, but at least 1 health (half a heart).

This ensured that food items added by other mods are compatible out of the box.

Frequently Asked Questions

Healthy Food server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Healthy Food compatible with fabric?

Healthy Food officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.20.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Healthy Food – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Healthy Food consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
