About this Mod
This mod is a chaos / randomizer mod inspired by the Yoshi's Island romhack 'Yoshi's Highland'
It adds a wide variety of silly & fun effects, such as:
- Randomly spawning and despawning entities (including items)
- Randomly moving entities around
- Randomly causing blocks to move and fall
- Randomly applying potion effects to the player
- Randomly shuffling and modifying inventory items
Commands
This mod includes a number of commands for customizing and controlling the effects.
All commands are prefixed with highland.
In order to start the effects after loading into a world, you must run /highlandStart!
Multiplayer
Currently, multiplayer is completely untested, but most effects should support it. Run on a server at your own risk!

How to Install Highland Chaos on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Highland Chaos". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Highland Chaos server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Highland Chaos consumes the most tick time.
