Features
1. Permanent Heart Loss on Death
Every death removes 1 permanent heart.
You can never drop below 1 heart.
2. Recover Hearts Through Crafting
Restore lost hearts by crafting Heart Fragments and turning them into a Heart of Life.
Heart Fragment Recipe Unlock
Unlocked automatically once you have:
- Totem of Undying
- Netherite Scrap
- Diamond
Heart of Life Recipe Unlock
Unlocked automatically once you have:
- Heart Fragment
- Heart of the Sea
Using a Heart of Life:
- Grants +1 permanent heart
- Applies Regeneration I (5s)
- Spawns heart particles
- Caps at 20 hearts total
3. Custom Creative Tab
All Heart of Life items appear inside their own custom creative category.

Includes themed advancements for progression:
- Acquiring a fragment
- Crafting a Heart of Life
- Using a heart
- Reaching max hearts

Installation
- Download the mod JAR.
- Place it in your
modsfolder (Fabric). - Launch Minecraft.

How to Install Heart of Life (HoL) on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.11).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Heart of Life (HoL)". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.11). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
