About this Mod
Pots being short for Potions, of course.
This mod makes it possible for honey to grant potion effects, if bees pollinate nether wart! The resulting effect(s) are then based on the flowers they pollinate after the nether wart.
It works completely server-sided! However, you need the client in order to:
- see the custom texture of honey potions
- have RRV and WTHIT integration
(The mod also works completely client-sided, but it doesn't do much unless you have some other way of applying potion effects to honey)
Also adds a builtin datapack honeypots:pre_nether_potions to make blue orchids serve the role of nether wart, allowing the creation of honey potions without the nether. All potion recipes are definable and overridable by datapack!

HoneyPots server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is HoneyPots compatible with fabric?
HoneyPots officially supports fabric for Minecraft 26.1.2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with HoneyPots – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if HoneyPots consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
