About this Mod

This mod adds some special pigs which reproduce themselves and evolve into stronger variants, consuming everything on their way.

How they work?

  1. Queen pig gets spawned and starts to produce lesser pigs.
  2. Lesser pigs will kill surrounding creatures and share resource themselves, especially to queen pigs.
  3. When lesser pigs gain certain resource, they will evolve!
  4. Also as the queen pigs get many resource, pigs that are made by them will get stronger.
  5. When queen pigs enough resource, they will produce a special pig. (For now, there's only a pig golem for it)
  6. Queen pigs can order the pigs in their pack to attack their target. (Which means provoking only one queen pig may make the whole horde attacks towards you.)

All pigs are also able to gain resources from killing other mobs, and can be healed when attacked by mobs in same pack.

Also, please note that the color of the pigs are chosen completely randomly, based on their alpha queen's uuid. And they will also attack the pigs that have different pack id between them!

Is Horde Piggies compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?

Horde Piggies officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.20.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Horde Piggies – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Horde Piggies consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
