Horizon Expansion
Horizon Expansion is a survival mod that adds new endgame challenges, complex bosses, and powerful gear to Minecraft.

Features
Custom Entities: Face off against three new mobs with advanced mechanics:
Kinetic Golem: A rolling mechanical boss that builds momentum to deal damage and reflects attacks with a kinetic shield.
Chrono Wraith: A clockwork entity that slows time, freezes projectiles, and teleports players into the past.
Eclipse Stalker: A wall-crawling shadow arachnid that plunges the area into darkness and teleports to your blind spot.
The Tesseract of Doom: An endgame item that generates an inescapable, multi-tiered labyrinth filled with trapped corridors, rare spawners, and loot vaults.
Weapons & Armor: Mine five new ores (Goliath, Kinetic, Chrono, Glacial, Eclipse) to craft heavy-stat armor sets, and wield an arsenal of endgame weapons like the Singularity Blade and Chaos Sword.
Utility Items: Includes survival tools like the Magnetic Ring, Escape Rope, Glow Chalk, and Portable Campfire.
Requires Forge. JEI is recommended for crafting recipes.

How to Install Horizon Expansion on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set forge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.6).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Horizon Expansion". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Horizon Expansion server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.6). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is Horizon Expansion compatible with forge?

Horizon Expansion officially supports forge for Minecraft 1.20.6, 1.20.5, 1.20.4. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.

Server lagging with Horizon Expansion – how to optimize performance?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Horizon Expansion consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
