Why?
Horse breeding in Minecraft can be challenging when it comes to evaluating a horse's worth. This project aims to
simplify that process by providing a tool to assess a horse's power based on its stats. It's particularly beneficial for
breeders who need to determine the value of their horses.
Installation
Client
- Download the version of the mod, you need, from Modrinth.
- Place the downloaded JAR file in the
modsdirectory of your fabric instance. - Launch the game and enjoy the mod.
Server
Installing the mod on a server is only necessary if you want to disable the search function (because it uses a glow effect,
which could be seen as unfair advantage). If you don't want to disable the search function, you can skip this section.
- Download the version of the mod, you need, from Modrinth.

modsdirectory of your server. - Launch the server and enjoy the mod.
Description
This project is a handy tool for horse owners, designed to evaluate a horse's power (stats) based on movement speed,
jump height, and health. It is user-friendly and helps horse owners, especially breeders, to determine their horse's
value. Additionally, it includes a search function to find the best horse based on specific stats in your area.
Features
- HUD: Displays the horse's power in the HUD.
- Inventory: Shows the horse's power in the inventory.
Commands
- /search
: Searches for the besthorses in the area based on the criteria. - Server opt-out available, see Server.
- /stats: Displays the stats of the horse you are currently looking at.

How to Install Horse Power on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set fabric Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.5).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Horse Power". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Horse Power server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.5). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Horse Power compatible with fabric and quilt?
Horse Power officially supports fabric, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.5, 1.21.4. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Horse Power – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Horse Power consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
