Welcome to Hoyocraft, an unofficial expansion designed to integrate the creatures, mechanics, and environmental elements of Genshin Impact into Minecraft. This project represents a dedicated learning endeavor to translate these distinct behaviors into a block based sandbox environment.

Core Features

Ambient AI & Behaviors

To make the world feel more dynamic, entities feature custom idle AI when out of combat. Hilichurls can be observed resting near campfires or foraging for resources, while ambient wildlife will react to player presence.

Abyssal Invasions

An event system driven by customizable JSON configurations. Naturally, an invasion has a chance to trigger every five in game days, or it can be manually initiated by players with appropriate permissions using the command:
/hoyo startinvasion
Once active, Abyssal Portals will manifest and spawn progressive waves of enemies, offering a challenging defense event.

Dynamic Group Spawning

Instead of spawning entirely in isolation, certain "Leader" class entities can spawn and establish small camps. Once a camp is established, reinforcement entities of the same faction will be dynamically attracted to the area, creating more natural enemy encounters.

Current Entity Roster (Alpha 1.0.0)

Monsters

• Hilichurl Fighter: The standard, club-wielding variant of the Hilichurl family. They utilize multiple attack styles and have a chance to spawn as a Leader to establish camps.

• Ruin Guard: A massive, ancient mechanical defender that features distinct active, waking, and sleeping states depending on how it generates in the world.

• Hydro Slime: Spawns exclusively in aquatic areas. It is capable of sliding across water surfaces and regenerates health when exposed to rain or standing water.

• Pyro Slime: Completely immune to fire and resides in lava. It regenerates health while submerged in lava and solidifies adjacent water blocks into cobblestone.

• Cryo Slime: Found in colder biomes. It naturally freezes adjacent water blocks into ice as it travels across them.

• Electro Slime: Features distinct "charged" and "discharged" states, becoming significantly more dangerous while glowing. During thunderstorms, it can attract lightning strikes to forcefully restore its health and charged state.

• Dendro Slime: A stealth-oriented entity that remains hidden underground, emerging only to ambush targets. If spotted while peeking, it will panic and retreat. Exposure to fire will burn away its foliage, permanently disrupting its ability to hide underground.

• Anemo Slime: An exceptionally lightweight entity capable of performing aerial dash attacks and falling at a greatly reduced speed.

• Geo Slime: A highly resilient, tank-like variant equipped with natural armor and significant knockback resistance.

Wildlife

• Finch: Ambient birds featuring four distinct visual variants. They will take flight and relocate to a new landing spot if approached too closely.

• Boar: Forest dwelling mammals that will actively flee from players and attackers. When harmed, they will alert nearby wildlife to flee with them. If cornered or startled, they can execute a high speed charging attack before retreating.
