About this Mod

iammojogo's Auto Switch Tool Mod

This mod simply makes mining faster by allowing the player to automatically switch to the correct/more appropriate tool for the block currently clicked on.

The tool switch occurs when the most optimal tool is not selected in the hand of the player.
The selection is made by choosing either the weakest tool of multiple similar tools first, or choosing the first tool that has the most damage to it so that it can be depleted with purpose and not thrown away.

This keeps the system organized by making mining faster as well as tool handling/switching faster for the player.

It also included switching to the vanilla sword for hostile mobs if one exists in the inventory.

The mod does NOT limit the inventory to the hotbar like other mods. This one checks through your entire inventory and switches the current item with the correct one in hand.

SUMMARY: auto-switch to the best tool when breaking blocks, and the best sword when attacking hostiles
NOTE: Axes excluded from combat switching! This is something I think MC should have done long ago.

🔧 COMPATIBILITY

Works with JEI, JourneyMap, Xaero's Minimap, Optifine, and most client-side mods.
