About this Mod

We've All Been There.
Coordinates can be hard, so many players opt for minimap or waypoint mods to make navigation easier. The problem is, then your screen starts to look like this...

What's the Alternative?
Vanilla Minecraft already allows you to save locations using maps. If you rename a banner, place it, and right click it with a map, it adds a marker to your map.

But maps can still be difficult to follow, so this mod shows waypoints in-world and on the locator bar to represent the markers on your maps, making maps useful, and keeping your immersion intact!

What Does This Mod Offer?
Waypoints Only When You Need Them
Waypoints will appear when you are holding a map, compass, recovery compass, or lodestone compass.
Supports Structure Maps
Waypoints will also show for special markers, such as the ones for structures found in explorer and buried treasure maps!
Compasses Too!
Compasses also show a waypoint pointing to spawn, recovery compasses for your most recent death, and lodestone compasses towards their linked lodestone!
Locator Bar Support
Waypoints for map markers will also show on the locator bar, though this can be disabled in the config!
Client-Side vs Server-Side
If the mod is only installed client-side, waypoints will still work for:
- Compasses
- Recovery Compasses
- Lodestone Compasses
But it is required server-side for:
- Maps
