A Forge port of the popular Fabric mod that adds realistic and dynamic thunder sounds to Minecraft based on the player's distance from lightning strikes.

Distance-Based Thunder Sounds: Experience realistic thunder that varies based on how far you are from the lightning strike
- Close Thunder (0-64 blocks): Loud, intense thunder when lightning strikes nearby
- Medium Thunder (64-192 blocks): Moderate thunder for strikes at medium distance
- Far Thunder (192+ blocks): Distant rumbling for far-away strikes
Sound Variety: Multiple sound variations for each distance range to prevent repetitive audio

How It Works
ImmersiveThunder uses mixins to replace vanilla lightning sounds with distance-appropriate custom sounds. The mod calculates the distance between you and each lightning strike in real-time and plays the appropriate sound.
No configuration needed - just install and enjoy realistic thunderstorms!

How to Install ImmersiveThunder-Forged on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set forge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "ImmersiveThunder-Forged". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
