About this Mod
Impulse Grapple
Turns fishing rods into grappling hooks with real motion, like in MineZ!
Simply cast your bobber onto a solid block, then reel it in to pull yourself with real motion and physics.

Great for adventure maps, minigames, or survival worlds where you want more mobility for exploration.
- Uses apply_impulse. Players must have an empty Saddle slot.
- Pull strength scales with bobber distance.
- Vanilla fishing and hooking mobs/items still work as normal.
- Fully multiplayer compatible.
- Made using Smithed Datapack Conventions to be highly compatible with other datapacks.
Feel free to use for custom maps, servers, and more!

Impulse Grapple officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.11. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Impulse Grapple – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Impulse Grapple consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
