About this Mod
Versions: Minecraft 1.19.2 & 1.20.1
Author: jacobfromnm
Overview
The It Follows mod introduces a terrifying entity that stalks players relentlessly, based on the behaviors of the entity from the "It Follows" film and mimics some familiar faces blending into the world before revealing its true, nightmarish nature.
Features:
- Relentless Pursuit: It always slowly pursues the player, never stopping, never despawning, and attacking anything that gets in the way.
- Strong Entity: Invincible, and will deal an incredible amount of damage, likely killing the player in one hit in hardcore game modes.
- No Escape: It can open doors/gates, break softer blocks (hardness < 1.0 - or greater if configured), swim (well, float), climb ladders, follows you into caves, and even wake you from sleep if close enough.
- Config File: Customize the stalker's speed, damage, health/invincibility, sounds, and more!
Spoiler / Hints
- The entity is invisible in darker environments - keep a torch/lantern handy, even during the day in heavily shaded areas.
- The entity will respawn closer to the player if the player moves too far away, and will never despawn. There's also a 0.5% chance that the entity will respawn directly next to the player - I recommend keeping at full health at all times, as the stalker will strike fast!
- If the player attempts to sleep while the entity is nearby, you may wake up to a horrifying surprise.
Warning:
This mod was designed as a fun project for the kiddos and for horror enthusiasts looking to add a feeling of seemingly endless dread to their world. If you don't care for being stalked endlessly in Minecraft, proceed with caution!
Feedback/Suggestions are welcome - thanks for checking it out, I hope it adds to your experience!
Known Bugs:
- Installing updated versions of the mod may create duplicate entities in the world, though a fix has been implemented to attempt to remove all but the oldest stalker.
