About this Mod
⚠️ Development Status: Maintenance Mode
Feature development for this mod has concluded with version 1.21.1(Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge).
As I focus on other projects (like DynamicEnchants), I will not be porting this mod to future versions of Minecraft.
However, I am still maintaining all current and previous versions. If you encounter any bugs or issues in any released version of this mod, please report them, and I will release fixes as needed!
🛠️ Item Repair
Keep your gear in top shape with passive repair trinkets.
📖 About the Mod
Inspired by the classic "Repair Talisman" from Project E, this mod adds three new items that passively repair the tools and armor in your inventory or equipped slots.
💎 The Items
- Ring of Repair: Provides a standard repair rate.
- Repair Talisman: Provides a standard repair rate.
- Repair Necklace: Crafted by combining the Ring and Talisman. This offers a significantly increased repair rate.
⚙️ Features & Config
This mod is highly configurable to suit your playstyle.
- Inventory Repair: Don't have a trinket slot? No problem. You can enable a setting to allow these items to repair gear just by sitting in your inventory.
- Area Repair: You can enable a feature that allows the necklace to repair items inside nearby chests. The radius (distance) is fully configurable.
- Config Reload: Includes a command to reload the config in-game, so you can tweak settings without restarting.
📥 Requirements & Dependencies Please ensure you have the correct dependencies for your Mod Loader: NeoForge: Requires a "Curios-like" mod to function properly in trinket slots. Confirmed working with:
- Accessories (requires Curios Compat Layer)
- Curios Continuation
- Adorned Fabric:
- Requires Trinkets.
- Note: Older versions (0.0.5 & 0.0.6) required owo-lib. Version 0.0.7+ does not. Forge:
- Requires Ohmega.

Item repair server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Item repair compatible with fabric and forge and neoforge?
Item repair officially supports fabric, forge, neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1, 1.21, 1.20.6. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Item repair – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Item repair consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
