About this Mod

Jake's Economy adds a fully server-compatible player-driven economy to your world. A live market with real-time price trends, a physical and virtual currency, and an achievement-gated item system — all configurable in the config.

Features

  • Live Market Prices rise and fall based on supply and demand using a logarithmic curve. Buying items drives prices up, selling items drives them down. Trend arrows (↑ ↓ —) show recent movement so players can speculate or react.

  • Coin Currency Eight physical coin denominations from Copper to Platinum, with craftable coin sacks to use in physcial trading. Coins can be deposited/withdrawn into your virtual balance and can be found in vanilla loot chests.

The various coins added in the mod

  • Market GUI Browse items by category, search across all tabs, and sort alphabetically. Each item has a detail screen with single, bulk (×64), or custom quantity transactions.

Trendline Graph

  • Price history graph - All items have their prices saved at set intervals, and viewable via a graph in the market GUI. Just press on the trend arrow!

Emerald market page

  • Auction House - List any item not sold in the market as an open auction or Buy It Now listing. Bids are tracked in real time, previous bidders are refunded instantly when outbid, and an anti-snipe system extends auctions when last-minute bids arrive. All money and items are held in server-side escrow — nothing is lost even if the server crashes mid-auction.

Auction house page

  • Achievement Locks Gate market items behind advancements. Players must earn the unlock before they can buy or sell — great for progression servers.

  • Multiplayer Ready Full dedicated server support. Prices and trends sync live to all online players after every trade. New players receive the full market config on join.

  • Configurable Edit jakeseconomy-prices.json to define categories, items (even modded items), base prices, and advancement locks. Useful for modpack creators or server owners to customize the market. Tune market sensitivity, decay rate, and rate limits in jakeseconomy-server.json.

Requires Fabric API.

Future Plans:

Built-in mod support — pre-made price configs for popular mods like AE2, Cobblemon, Create, and more!

More config options — per-category depth overrides, and more!

More port versions — porting to newer (and older) versions of Minecraft.

NeoForge port — bring Jake's Economy to NeoForge.
