About this Mod

Journey to the North East is a combat focused adventure datapack that adds a variety of new content to spice up your Minecraft experience.
Featuring:
A large arsenal of weaponary : Shoot webs like a spider with the Webshooter, blow your enemies up with powerful magic via the Arcane Tome, and apply a deadly poison with the Withersbane.
Powerful new gear : Soar through the skies, fade into the shadows, or dodge your enemies' attacks with ease.
4 deadly bosses : Gear up to take down the three new bosses featured in this pack, including the return of a former foe.
Challenge worlds (in versions prior to 2.4) : Accessible by holding down alt on world type and clicking to cycle through them, challenge worlds are inspired by terraira secret seeds and feature unique terrain and world generation. - Now removed from update 2.4 onwards

Known issues:
- 3d skin layers breaks the mannequins and removes their second skin layer.
- Scoreboard values won't load for players who joined after the intial load but before 2.1, to fix run /advancement revoke @a only combatplus:actual_advancement_tree/root whilst they are online
- Any mod that boosts flight speed boosts speed such a Lunar Client toggle sprint/sneak mod will boost Shadow Sneakers speed.
- Toggle Sprint/Sneak (the vanilla version, not modded, although I've only tested Lunar Client) will constantly activate abilities such as Dodge Boots or Ruby Lunge.
- Bedbugs just break if thrown at the wrong angle.
Inspired by many adventure / exploration mods such as Terramity and Orespawn.

How to Install Journey to the North-East on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set datapack Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (26.1.2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Journey to the North-East". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Journey to the North-East server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Journey to the North-East compatible with datapack and fabric and forge and neoforge and quilt?
Journey to the North-East officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 26.1.2, 26.1.1, 26.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Journey to the North-East – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Journey to the North-East consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
