About this Mod
JulekPL10's Food Craft is a Minecraft mod focused on improving the food system and rebalancing mob drops to make survival more engaging, logical, and rewarding.
The mod adds 100+ new items, primarily various types of food, ingredients, and unique mob drops. It significantly expands farming, cooking, and resource gathering by introducing new crops, additional crafting ingredients, and extended food progression. Farming is no longer limited to the default plants — players can grow more diverse crops and create a wider range of meals with meaningful progression.
The mod also allows players to brew potions that were previously unobtainable in survival, while adding several new ones. All potions are created using Minecraft’s existing brewing system and do not modify or replace any core mechanics. Some of the new and previously unobtainable potions require rare mob drops or special ingredients introduced by the mod.
One of the core features is a complete rebalance of mob loot tables. Nearly all mobs have adjusted drops to better fit the improved food and survival systems. Passive animals such as cows, pigs, sheep, and chickens provide more logical and useful resources, while hostile mobs have been rebalanced to make combat more rewarding without becoming overpowered.
The mod also introduces new rare drops, some of which are used in potion brewing and advanced crafting. Thanks to these changes, many resources that were previously limited or non-renewable become renewable, encouraging long-term survival play without relying on exploits or excessive grinding.
Additionally, the mod includes villager balance adjustments, refining trades to better align with the expanded food system and the updated resource flow.
Overall, this mod enhances survival without changing Minecraft’s identity. It deepens the food system, improves progression pacing, and makes farming, combat, and exploration feel more purposeful and satisfying.
