About this Mod

Simple player authentication mod for small Better than Adventure servers.

For server hosters

Create a folder named justauth in your server folder
For each player you want to give access to, create a file with their username and put a password in there (mashing your keyboard for like 5 seconds is generally a good idea. make sure to not go above 127 characters)
Copy this file, rename it to just.auth and share it with your friend

For players

Your host will give you a file named just.auth, put it in your .minecraft folder

Tested on 7.3_03 but it's probably compatible with a whole bunch of other versions too!

How to Install JustAuth on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (b1.7.3).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "JustAuth". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

JustAuth server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (b1.7.3). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
