KeepBedInventory
Keep items on death that were last had when setting spawn point.
About this Mod
This mod reworks how inventory saving on death is handled. It allows the player to keep some of their items and xp on death while not saving everything like the keepInventory gamerule does.
Items
When the player sets a spawnpoint, via bed, respawn anchor or other method, all items and experience levels on the player will be saved with a timestamp.
If the player dies, then they will keep any items that they had at the time of sleeping that are still present on the player. All other items will be dropped as normal.
Only items that match the timestamp on the player will be kept, anything with a different timestamp will be dropped as normal.
Items that are timestamped, but not on the player at the time of death will not be kept.
Experience
The player will keep the xp levels when last setting spawn or the levels had on death, whichever is lower.
Example 1: Player saves with 30 levels, collects 5 more and then dies, they will keep 30 levels and drop 5 levels worth of xp.
Example 2: Player saves with 30 levels, spends 5 levels and then dies, they will keep 25 levels and drop no xp.
Notes
If the keepInventory gamerule is active, this mod will not alter any functionality.
If the player's spawn point is invalid at the time of death, all items will be dropped as normal.
