About this Mod

This mods adds new mobs and mechanics to challenge the player!

First, monster mobs will have a chance of dropping Monster Heart Pieces, which can be crafted into Monster Hearts, used as a new resource for things of the mod, as Halloween Potions, Weapons, Armor . . .

Also, a new important potion effect : Halloween. This effect will kill the player if they try to sleep. On top of that, when hit, a Rotten Arm (new mob) will spawn and attack the entity with the effect. Halloween has a chance of being inflicted when waking up or sometimes by being attacked by an Undead mob. But Halloween has also some good properties! Like increasing Monster Heart Pieces chance of dropping, or boosting/activating some items, so balance it is key.
(There 2 new gamerules called DoHalloweenInNightmares, which if false won't inflict Halloween when sleeping, and UndeadInflictHalloween, which is the chance of inflicting Halloween when hit by an Undead, set to 0 to disable).

Halloween can not be cured using Milk, but can be cured using food made with a new Crop: Turnips!
Turnips can be found by breaking Wild Turnips, which generate randomly on the overworld. Also Farmer Villagers can trade Turnip-related-items.

Another new mechanic is Advanced Monsters! Monsters have a chance of spawning more powerful than usual, if they are around a 20+ lvl player (use gamerule MinimumAdvancedMonsterSpawnLevel). Also Monsters from this mod have extra quirks when Advanced, to make defeating them more difficult. When an Advanced Monster is killed by the player, it has a chance of dropping a Mystic Runes used in some things on the mod like Weapons, Armors . . . and alse they can drop Lootboxes, which give loot depending on which advancements the player has (only checks for getting iron, diamond, Ancient Debris, Netherite Armor).
Advanced Monsters Levels depend on the players level divided by MinimumAdvancedMonsterSpawnLevel, and will show up in the top left corner of the screen (by default) as an overlay.
(There is a new Gamerule called AdancedMonsterSpawnChance, set to 0 to disable Advanced Monsters from spawning).
Another new mechanic are Dire Hits, which are powerful blows dealt by some weapons and mobs. These attacks deal x1.5 damage and can be used alongside Critical Hits to deal extra damage, but some mechanics of the weapon such as Fire Damage or Poison won't take effect. To deactivate Monster Dire Hits use the gamerule: AllowMonsterDireHits. More info in the ingame guide.

There is new Villager job, the Hunter! Their job block is the unactive Vampire Artifact, found in Vampire Fortresses, a new structure. They trade some items from the mod.
There are new red named enchantments wich can only be obtained in the new Sculk Vampire Artifact, using a new resource called Cursed Diamonds. Cursed Diamonds can be found in the new Structure, the Cursed Tower (or in Vampire Fortresses but more rarely) or by creating them using the Cursed Converter.
And the most important part, the mobs! This mod adds 16 new Monsters mobs such as Vampires or Freepers, Creepers cold cousins. And 1 mini boss!

How to Install Klsts' Monsters on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 4 GB RAM (6 GB recommended).
Set neoforge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the neoforge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.1).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Klsts' Monsters". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Klsts' Monsters server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 4 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Klsts' Monsters compatible with neoforge?
Klsts' Monsters officially supports neoforge for Minecraft 1.21.1. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Klsts' Monsters – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 6 GB (per 5 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Klsts' Monsters consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
