About this Mod

Knifestock

With this mod, you can only melee attack livestock (AnimalEntities that have the tag #knifestock:livestock) while holding knives (items tagged with #knifestock:knives).

By default, the items tagged are anything tagged with #c:knives, and minecraft:debug_stick, which makes it impossible to hit livestock with this mod alone. In other words, this mod is for modpack use only.

Ranged weapons work as normal.

but why?

I made this because BetterCombat makes selecting livestock to slaughter more tedious because of the large area-of-effect of weapons.

How to Install Knifestock on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set fabric Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the fabric loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Knifestock". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.
