Lazyboy's No Global Sounds
Stop global sounds like the wither's spawning, ender dragon death, end portal activation.
About this Mod
This is a simple mod that sets the global sound gamerule to false everytime the game/server loads, which then stops global sounds like the wither's spawning, ender dragon death, end portal activation to not be played for everyone.
🔎 Explanation
Global sounds are unique sound events broadcast to all players in the world, regardless of distance.
Examples include:
- End portal activation
- Ender Dragon death roar
- Wither spawn/charge-up sound
- Guardian “curse” attack sound
- These sounds can be disruptive on multiplayer servers, since everyone hears them even if they’re far away.
⚠️ Why It Matters
- Server performance: Reduces unnecessary sound broadcasting.
- Player experience: Prevents confusion or annoyance when hearing sounds from events happening far away.
- Customization: Useful for roleplay servers or modpacks where immersion is important.
Simply put this in the "mods" folder of you server or modpack. Server-side is fully supported.
