🏹 Lingering Arrows

Lingering Arrows is a simple mod for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 that adds a tactical feature to archery.

In vanilla Minecraft, when a tipped arrow hits a block, its potion effect disappears. This mod changes that mechanic. Now, when a tipped arrow hits any block or entity, it creates a lingering potion effect cloud at that position, and the arrow is removed.

Features:
• Tactical Combat: If you do not hit a target directly, you can shoot at the ground to poison a group of enemies or heal your teammates.
• Vanilla Balance: The cloud gets the exact same duration, color, and potion effect that the arrow had.
• Good Performance: The mod is optimized for Forge, so it does not cause lag or game crashes.

This mod is perfect for survival gameplay and PvP servers.

⚔️ Combat Effects:
• Strength: Level I — 11 sec (+3 damage) / Level II — 5 sec (+6 damage).
• Harming: Level I — 6 points of instant damage / Level II — 12 points. Heals undead mobs.
• Poison: Level I — 5 sec / Level II — 2 sec of rapid poison damage.

🛡️ Defensive Effects:
• Regeneration: Level I — 5 sec / Level II — 2 sec of rapid health regeneration.
• Healing: Level I — 4 points of instant health / Level II — 8 points. Damages undead mobs.
• Fire Resistance: 30 sec of complete immunity to fire and lava.
• Turtle Master: Level I — 2 sec (Resistance III, Slowness IV) / Level II — 2 sec (Resistance IV, Slowness IV).

🏃‍♂️ Mobility & Control:
• Swiftness: Level I — 11 sec (+20% speed) / Level II — 5 sec (+40% speed).
• Leaping: Level I — 11 sec (+1.25 blocks jump height) / Level II — 5 sec (+2 blocks jump height).
• Slowness: Standard — 11 sec (-15% speed) / Extended — 30 sec (-15%) / Level IV — 2 sec (-60% speed).

👁️ Utility Effects:
• Weakness: 11 sec of reducing target's melee damage by 2 hearts.
• Night Vision: 30 sec of perfect vision in the dark.
• Invisibility: 30 sec of hiding the player's model.
• Water Breathing: 30 sec of oxygen underwater.
• Luck: 5 min of increased high-tier loot chances.
