Locator Bar Waypoints Datapack for Minecraft Java Edition
Make sure to install the Datapack Version that correctly matches your Minecraft Version or issues may arise.
📖 About
Easily add waypoints to your world by remaming an Armor Stand. You can either rename the Armor Stand to waypoint or to the color you would like the waypoint to be. i.e. red.
📝 Features
To add a waypoint to your world, you can either rename an Armor Stand using an Anvil or a Name Tag to waypoint, and it will receive a random color, or you can rename it to one of the colors listed below, and it will place a waypoint with that color attached to it. You can always rename the Armor Stand to change its color at a later time.

❗Important Information
When you rename an Armor Stand, it must be in all lowercase letters; otherwise, it will not work correctly.
This Datapack is intended for Singleplayer use only, but it can be used in Multiplayer. Just keep in mind that waypoints will be visible to all players on the server.
Waypoints all waypoints are visible from less than 10000 blocks away. So they are easy to find.
📂 Installation
Be sure to install this Datapack to the right location or it will not work properly.
The correct file path is saves/[world]/datapacks

How to Install Locator Bar Waypoints on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set datapack Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (1.21.7).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Locator Bar Waypoints". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Locator Bar Waypoints server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21.7). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Locator Bar Waypoints compatible with datapack and fabric and forge and neoforge and quilt?
Locator Bar Waypoints officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 1.21.7, 1.21.6, 25w15a. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Locator Bar Waypoints – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Locator Bar Waypoints consumes the most tick time.
