Struggle making decisions? Want to know your future? Or your friend's? Well the Magic 8 Chat is just for you!
Ask any Yes/No question, for example, "Will I become the richest person in the server?" (It doesn't matter how you do it – In your head, in the chat, out loud – Whatever you want!) Then just type /trigger shake and it will then give you a random response from a list of many custom-made ones, for example "Don't count on it"!
You can ask as many questions as you want, and you don't need admin to do it, so any player in a server can "shake" the Magic 8 Chat.
It also only shows the responses for you, so if for whatever reason you don't want people to see what you got (for example if it was the exact opposite of what you wanted to get) they won't be able to see it unless you show them the message yourself.\
Note: To disable the trigger message before the 8 Chat's response disable the send_command_feedback gamerule.

How to Install Magic 8 Chat on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set datapack Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the datapack loader and matching Minecraft version (26.2).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Magic 8 Chat". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Magic 8 Chat server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong datapack version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Magic 8 Chat compatible with datapack and fabric and forge and neoforge and quilt?
Magic 8 Chat officially supports datapack, fabric, forge, neoforge, quilt for Minecraft 26.2, 26.1.2, 26.1.1. Note: Forge and Fabric mods are NOT cross-compatible – pick one loader and stick with it. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with Magic 8 Chat – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Magic 8 Chat consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
