About this Mod
MendingPriority
Tired of Mending randomly repairing the wrong armor piece? This mod lets you set a priority target.
How It Works
Press L to cycle through repair modes. Your selected armor piece will receive Mending repair priority first — before any other piece gets repaired.
- Helmet — helmet gets priority for XP repair
- Chestplate — chestplate gets priority for XP repair
- Leggings — leggings get priority for XP repair
- Boots — boots get priority for XP repair
- Vanilla — normal random Minecraft behavior (default)
Each time you press L, a short message appears in your actionbar showing the current target, like Repair Target: Helmet.
Fallback
If the selected armor piece doesn't have Mending or is already at full durability, the mod automatically falls back to vanilla behavior.
No Bloat
No config screen. No GUI. No menus. Just one keybind. The key can be rebound in Options → Controls → MendingPriority.

MendingPriority server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.21). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is MendingPriority compatible with fabric?
MendingPriority officially supports fabric for Minecraft 1.21. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with MendingPriority – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if MendingPriority consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
