About this Mod

SUMMARY:
MENDING REWORK revamps the mending enchant and durability as a whole, making anvil repairing less punishing so that a mending villager isn't a requirement in every world.
The fabric version of this mod requires Fabric API.

FEATURE LIST:
- Repairing items in anvils costs 0 experience.
- Does not increase future combine costs.
- Items are repairable even if combining the item with another is too expensive.
- Default chance of an anvil taking damage reduced to 6% (from 12%).
- Mending enchant no longer repairs items when you pickup experience.
- Items with mending regain 10% more durability when repaired.
- Items with mending never damage an anvil when renaming or repairing.
- Unbreaking enchant now works the same on armor as it does on tools.
- Vanilla unbreaking 3 increases a tool's lifespan by 300% but only increases armor's lifespan by 43%.
- With this mod, armor enchanted with unbreaking will last significantly longer.
- This change was made because armor breaks very fast without vanilla mending.
- Netherite items are not repaired with netherite ingots.
- Netherite items are repairable with diamonds or netherite scraps.
- This change gives diamonds a permanent use in the endgame.
- Vanilla items without repair materials were given one:
- Tridents are repaired with diamonds.
- Crossbows and shears are repaired with iron ingots.
- Bows and fishing rods are repaired with string.
- Brushes are repaired with feathers.
- Flint and steel is repaired with flint.
- Default repair material (Bottle O' Enchanting) is given to every item this mod detects that is compatible with mending and doesn't already have a repair material.
- JEI Integration in version 0.4+ displays anvil repair recipes for all items, vanilla or modded.
