About this Mod

So the update was cancelled due to some corrupted files. Instead I remade the mod. It has much much better generation and monsters. Significantly scarier... but I have no idea when it will release if at all. Currently as of writing this only Level 0 is done for the remake. Also I finally fixed the spelling mistake in the description.

About
This mod is a Backrooms mod that doesn't affect normal survival gameplay at all... until you noclip. This mod adds a bunch of unique levels with their own entities to accompany them. It doesn't just progressively get harder, but just varies in difficulty.
This mod does procedurally generate levels
REQUIREMENTS
Render distance: 12 or higher
Simulation distance: 6 or higher
Ambience sound volume: 100
Without these, it won't work. (ambience is for some sounds)
How to Enter
Simply suffocate in a wall or sand to noclip. You MUST do it in survival or it won't do anything.
Levels (in order):

- Backrooms: the main place.
- Parking Garage: A big open space with tons of dark areas.
- Pipe Dreams: A dense sewer area with rusted pipes and long halls.
- Office: Red carpet, white walls, don't look outside, or go near any windows.
- Poolrooms: Because why not? Tile haven, infested waters.
Entities:
Spoiler
- Shadows: an entity that runs quick and blinds the player when approached.
- Tricks: A player-shaped entity with heavy sounding stomps. Very quick.
- Smilers: Smiling with an eerie white glow. They hate the light. Drains sanity quick.
- Arms: Walks with its arms. Pretty quick. Does crazy damage. Screams when close to the player, even if it doesn't see them
- Handy: An arm coming out of the rust of the pipes. Will drag you down if you get close. It is a part of the rust, so it can move, but due to it's rust it can only move at 20% of it's actual speed.
- Windows: Don't look outside. Don't go near them. They drive you INSANE.
- Eyes: Friendly creatures that make you lose 10 sanity when you go near them. They don't do much but stare and breathe.
- Pools Guardian: The peaceful god of the poolrooms. His goal is to peacefully keep the environment of the poolrooms clean. He will offer you freedom. Accept it and you can escape the backrooms!

How to Install Minecraft Backrooms on Your Server
Order Server
Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).
Set neoforge Loader
In the panel under "Egg", select the neoforge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.6).
Install Mod
Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "Minecraft Backrooms". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Minecraft Backrooms server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong neoforge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.6). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is Minecraft Backrooms compatible with neoforge?

Server lagging with Minecraft Backrooms – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if Minecraft Backrooms consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge.
