About this Mod

Missing you, pet plugin.
This mod adds multiple items for taming all mobs.

Main Features
Allows players to use "Mixed Grains" or "Inexhaustible Golden Stew" to tame mobs with health not greater than 10 points, making them fight for the player. (Configurable allowed health in config.)
Mixed Grains is consumed when used, while Inexhaustible Golden Stew is not. Their default crafting recipes have different costs. Configurable which item's recipe is enabled.
Taming materials can be customized in config, e.g., using a diamond sword to tame zombies. (Configurable required current health, taming chance, and whether the item is consumed.)
The higher the mob's health, the lower the taming chance, with a minimum of 20%.
Mobs tamed with this item can switch between Follow, Stay, and Wander states.

Follow state: When the owner is more than 8 blocks away, the mob moves toward the owner. When the owner is more than 14 blocks away, the mob teleports to the owner (terrestrial mobs teleport only to air blocks, aquatic mobs only to water; configurable teleport types, including amphibious).

Stay state: Stays in place, does not move.

Wander state: Uses the mob's original pathfinding AI to wander aimlessly.

Other Features
Mobs with health greater than 150 points can only be tamed one per player per type (configurable health threshold).
Mobs that are already tamable by vanilla or other mods cannot be tamed by this item (including some mod pets that have pet tags but no taming method).
Mobs tamed by this item gain very fast regeneration when out of combat or not taking void damage, healing 1 health point every 2 ticks (configurable out-of-combat delay). Out of combat means losing仇恨 and not being hit for 0.5 seconds.
Most mobs tamed by this item lose their ability to break blocks.
Ravagers, hoglins, zoglins, guardians, elder guardians, dolphins, goats, sniffers, polar bears, pandas, cows, and sheep are rideable after taming.
Tamed wandering traders no longer disappear, and their trade lists restock infinitely (configurable).
Tamed witches throw healing and instant health potions based on the health of the player and the player's pets.
Tamed piglins, piglin brutes, and hoglins no longer zombify. Tamed piglins no longer pick up "gold items" but only "gold ingots".
Tamed witches and piglins throw fire resistance potions at other tamed mobs and the owner that are on fire.
Vexes summoned by tamed evokers are also tamed, but these vexes do not respawn or regenerate via mod features.
Helmets on tamed zombies and skeletons no longer lose durability in daylight.
All mobs tamed by this item become neutral to other mobs (e.g., tamed illagers do not attack iron golems).
All mobs become neutral to mobs tamed by this item (e.g., iron golems do not attack tamed illagers).
Mobs tamed by this item do not attack other tamed mobs of the same owner or pets of the same owner.
All mobs tamed by this item cannot pick up equipment.
Tamed illagers do not join raids.
Added Jade integration to display current mode and owner.
Mobs tamed by this item respawn after death and teleport to the owner's location (configurable respawn cooldown, default 30 seconds).
Small slimes and small magma cubes split from tamed slimes and magma cubes are also tamed, but these small ones do not respawn.
Configurable special mobs that are forced to stay in place when in Stay state (generally for aquatic or flying mobs that may have pathfinding issues; use with caution due to forceful method).
Mobs tamed by this mod do not disappear in Peaceful mode.
Honeycomb can be used on water-sensitive mobs (e.g., endermen). Waxed mobs take no damage from contact with water.

Armor Blueprint
Allows editing the armor, main hand, and offhand items of mobs tamed by this mod.

Beast Tamer's Whistle
Controls the state of all mobs tamed by this mod within a 32-block radius. Left-click switches to Follow, middle-click switches to Wander, right-click switches to Stay. Affected mobs glow for five seconds.

Dark Stew
Untames a mob (only the owner can untame their mob).

Cavalry Flute
Left-click to select mob A, then left-click mob B to make mob A ride mob B.
Mob A must be a mob tamed by this mod or the player's pet (owner must be the player).
Mob B must be a mob tamed by this mod, the player's pet (owner must be the player), or a horse (no need to tame).

War Horn
Switches between Aggressive Mode and Protective Mode.
Left-click or right-click to switch a single mob's mode.
Sneak + left-click or right-click to switch the mode of all mobs within 32 blocks.

Protective Mode: Like wolves, attacks mobs that attack the owner or that the owner attacks, and反击 when attacked by other mobs.

Aggressive Mode: On top of Protective Mode behavior, actively attacks all nearby hostile mobs.

Legion Banner
Left-click or right-click on air to cycle the player's team color.
Left-click or right-click on a mob tamed by this mod to make them enter Legion Mode.
Middle-click to make the player themselves enter Legion Mode.

Legion Mode: All mobs tamed by the same player can only be in the same team. Players and mobs in Legion Mode get an outline and Jade display matching their team color. Tamed mobs of different teams attack each other (Aggressive Mode is disabled in Legion Mode).

Come on, who doesn't want a Legion battle royale.

How to Install mob_controller on Your Server

Order Server

Order a Minecraft Java server with at least 3 GB RAM (4 GB recommended).

Set forge Loader

In the panel under "Egg", select the forge loader and matching Minecraft version (1.20.1).

Install Mod

Open the mod browser in the dashboard and search for "mob_controller". Click "Install" – done! Alternatively, upload the .jar via SFTP to the /mods folder.

Frequently Asked Questions

mob_controller server crashes on startup – what to do?

Most common cause: wrong forge version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (1.20.1). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.

Is mob_controller compatible with forge?

Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if mob_controller consumes the most tick time.
