MobBlocks
MobBlocks replaces normal block drops with a mob encounter. When you break a block, a random mob spawns and you must kill it to receive the items.

About this Mod
MobBlocks
MobBlocks completely changes how block breaking works. Instead of instantly receiving items when mining a block, a glowing mob spawns in its place. You must kill that mob to receive the block's drops. Until you do, you cannot break any other block. If you die before killing the mob, it is removed and the items are lost permanently as a punishment.

/mobblocks mobdrops <on|off>

/mobblocks blockbinding <on|off>
When set to on, each block type is permanently mapped to one specific mob. The mapping is determined by the block type combined with the world seed, so it differs between worlds but stays consistent within the same world. When set to off, a completely random mob is chosen every time. Default: off.

MobBlocks server crashes on startup – what to do?
Most common cause: wrong fabric version or insufficient RAM. Check the server log (latest.log) for "OutOfMemoryError" or "Mixin" errors. With Mado Hosting: ensure at least 3 GB RAM is allocated and the loader matches the mod version (26.1.2). You can switch loaders with one click in the panel.
Is MobBlocks compatible with fabric?
MobBlocks officially supports fabric for Minecraft 26.1.2. The Mado dashboard automatically detects incompatible loader combinations.
Server lagging with MobBlocks – how to optimize performance?
Recommended RAM: 4 GB (per 8 players). Use /spark profiler to check if MobBlocks consumes the most tick time. Common fixes: reduce server view-distance to 8-10, install "performant" or "starlight" as supplementary mods on Forge. With Mado Hosting, your server runs on NVMe SSDs with dedicated CPU cores for minimal latency.
