MobCapture
Introduces the Capturing enchantment, allowing players to collect spawn eggs by defeating creatures with enchanted swords.
About this Mod
Ever wished you could collect your favorite mobs as spawn eggs? With MobCapture, now you can!
Enchant your sword with the special Capturing enchantment and start hunting. Whenever you defeat a mob, there’s a chance it will drop its spawn egg—perfect for building farms or just showing off your collection. The higher your Capturing enchantment, the better your odds!
How the chances work:
- Base Chance: Scales with your Capturing enchantment level:
- Level 1: 5%
- Level 2: 10%
- Level 3: 15%
- Difficulty Adjustment: Easier game difficulties increase drop odds, while harder ones reduce them.
- Mob Type Factor: Hostile mobs have higher drop odds than ambient or passive creatures.
- Drop Chance Cap: The final chance is always between 0.5% and 20%.
Boss mobs (like the Ender Dragon, Wither, and Elder Guardian) are excluded, so the challenge remains.
